We are looking for a passionate person who is excited about building the startup community and helping entrepreneurs find success! Edmonton is at an exciting point in time to foster a swell of innovative startups, and Startup Edmonton plays a key role in this endeavour.  

The Lead Program Manager will be responsible for evaluating the potential and practicality of new and existing programs and products, and reply on research, experience, and judgment to plan and accomplish Startup Edmonton goals.   

Operating in a fast-past environment, the successful candidate has an entrepreneurial background, strong business acumen, understands startup methodology and theory, and is an innovator by nature. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for: 

  • Assure program quality and organizational stability through development and implementation of standards and controls, systems and procedures, and regular evaluation. 

  • Mentors and consults Startup Edmonton companies regarding their business progress and directs additional mentorship and resource opportunities. 

  • Oversee data collection from programs and coaching to inform program evaluation. 

  • Develop entrepreneur programs and curriculum to advance founders in Startup methodology and company success.   

  • Coach and manage program managers and facilitators. 

  • Pursue partnerships with key organizations and/or entrepreneurs to build a mentor pool available to Member companies.  

  • Ensure that program facilitators are equipped to deliver Startup Edmonton’s curriculum professionally and effectively meet desired learning objectives.   

  • Manage and maintain relevant detail on Stakeholder issues & successes.  

The successful candidate will have: 

  • 2+ years of experience leading, mentoring, and coaching team of professionals. 

  • Strong aptitude in identifying needs of customers and drives creative solutions. 

  • Excels in a start-up environment with flat organizational structure and strong interdepartmental collaboration. 

  • Previous involvement with innovation programming, Leanstack training, or equivalent. 

  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
